How this price fits the certificate lifecycle

  • Sales start on 1 February 2027 through the common central platform for authorised CBAM declarants.
  • For 2026 imports, use the quarterly 2026 price for the quarter in which the goods were imported, even though purchase occurs in 2027.
  • From 2027, the normal certificate price is calculated and published weekly.
  • Purchase, quarter-end holding, annual surrender, repurchase, and cancellation remain separate account events.

What is the current CBAM certificate price?

The European Commission published a CBAM certificate price of €75.28 per tonne of CO2e for Q2 2026 on 2026-07-06. CBAM Pulse shows the official published figure with a source link; only figures published by the European Commission are authoritative.

Which price applies to 2026 imports?

For 2026 imports, use the quarterly 2026 price for the quarter in which the goods were imported. Certificate sales begin on 1 February 2027, but a later weekly price should not replace the historical import-quarter price.

How does pricing change from 2027?

From 2027, the normal certificate price is calculated and published weekly. Each price has its own application period; only figures published by the European Commission are authoritative.
